Welcome to Cache. By downloading, installing, or using the Cache: Expense & Money Tracker mobile application or visiting our website (truycacheapp.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use our application.

1. Description of Service

Cache is a personal financial logging application that provides transaction recording, notification/SMS alert auto-capturing (on Android), budget tracking, and spending analytics. All services are offline-first and execute primarily on your mobile device.

2. Data Ownership and Local Storage

  • Your Data: You own all financial numbers, statements, and details stored in the app. We do not have access to your database files.
  • Backup Responsibility: Because Cache is a local-first application, your records are only stored on your physical device. We are not responsible for any data loss resulting from device damage, application deletion, or lack of Google Drive backups.

3. Free Application Use

Cache is currently offered entirely free of charge. There are no subscriptions, paywalls, or feature limits. We reserve the right to introduce optional premium features or cloud synchronization services in the future, subject to updated terms.

4. Permissible Use

You agree to use Cache only for personal, lawful purposes. You must not attempt to reverse engineer, modify, decompile, or extract source code from the mobile application unless permitted under the open-source license agreements.

5. Disclaimer of Financial Advice

Cache is a tracking utility. The application is not a financial advisor, planner, or fiduciary. The visualizations, insights, and categorizations provided by the application are for informational and organizational purposes only and do not constitute financial, investment, legal, or tax advice.

6. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Cache, its creators, or contributors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use or inability to use the application, database errors, or backup sync failures.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will indicate changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Your continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
