On Android, when you grant notification access permission, Cache activates a background listener. When a transaction alert arrives from any bank or payment app, the parser reads it on-device, extracts the merchant and amount, and shows a quick-confirm prompt. Nothing ever leaves your device.
No. Cache uses strict pattern filtering to ignore OTPs, personal chats, promotional messages, and anything non-financial. Only debit/credit transaction alerts matching known financial patterns are processed.
If Cloud Sync is enabled, all your transactions, categories, and budgets are backed up. Sign in with the same Google account on your new device and everything restores automatically. Without sync, local data is tied to the device.
